we had a busy wkend. satday was andrew's 3rd bday party at the little gym. it was right smack in the middle of the girls' nap time, so we had to improvise. we left the house early, taking some back roads for a slow and longer route. sure enough, the girls feel asleep in the car. i did have to wake them, and they were groggy for a good 1/2hr before fully warming up at the party. they got to bounce, stomp bubbles, sing, monkey around on gym equipment, cake, balloons & goody bags--- good times. they LOVE birthday parties. they proudly help wrap and decorate each bday present.

sunday, we cked out club run rec center. for a 1/4 off admission of a regular water park (with 5 yrs under free), it's a steal and a great find. fairfax county parks just get better and better.

no pics from this wkend. here's an older video, back in 9/2008 (it's amazing how much their vocabulary has increased---they speak in complete sentences now; and laurel's voice even sounds different). this is what happens when a toddler REFUSES to nap.
